Restorative Yoga

Monday’s 6.30PM | 1 hour

Calm the mind and body with this soothing Restorative Yoga class. Restorative yoga poses require no muscular exertion; each pose is held for several minutes and deeply supported by props – blankets, bolsters, and blocks.

During the class, you will be guided to mindfully and consciously notice thoughts and sensations in your body. Students leave feeling nourished, well rested and refreshed; with a new cultivated awareness and clarity. Guided Mindfulness Meditation is also incorporated throughout the class. No yoga or meditation experience is needed and all levels are welcome.

Students often ask, what is the difference between Restorative Yoga and other floor based practices?
Restorative Yoga is supported with props, is mindful and gentle while Yin Yoga explores the skeletal structure via a more anatomical yet passive approach.

Hatha/ Yoga Nidra & Sound Bowls

Thursday’s 6.30 PM | 1 hour

Yin Yoga is great for reducing stress in the body and mind. Holding poses without distraction for several minutes, it teaches us to relax, potentially beginning to release tension that is held deeply… ingrained in our muscles and fascia tissue closest to the joints, and woven amongst the entire body.

Everybody can do Yin Yoga and everyone can benefit, you are encouraged to use props and make adjustments especially for those with decreased range of motion or injury as well as seniors.
