A gentle working through postures and breath, a slow paced class with guidance to safe alignment and foundation for a great practice. Her caring approach holds the perfect opportunity for the novel Yogi to embark into their Yoga journey or coming back from injury. Her passion to encourage Seniors into safe movement classes is also one of the reasons her classes are so popular.

Lucy Liga

I am a lover of life, mother, daughter, teacher, taxi driver and counsellor to my kids. I am all that is listed and none of what is listed. I have a passion for exploration, curiosity and being a better human through meditation, yoga and qigong.

I discovered yoga at 19 yrs of age, I was highly anxious and was working through trauma, it provided me with an opportunity to find a clearer relationship with my body and then some stability mentally as I started the process of unraveling and understanding my trauma and anxiety to enable me to live with more kindness, compassion and awareness and less from fear and self doubt.

Yoga is the breath, a lifestyle, connection and community with self and others, enabling awareness of patterns and habits that hinder giving me a choice, an opportunity to release perfection and embrace the messiness of life and truely feel and open up to experiences, yoga supports me to find a stillness and a skilfulness to navigate the challenges in life.

My yoga and qigong classes are flexible and fluid with all aspects of yoga included. All classes are accessible to all students and diversity is welcome. In the qigong and yin classes I lean into Taoist philosophy and Chinese medicine as that is where it originated: I teach classes that prompt you to enquire and explore your own practice and how it feels to you, guided by my instruction which you can take, leave or add to. My intention for you is to feel a little more embodied, spacious and open also definitely curious and empowered.
